Computer Xperts Director recently visited the đ đ˛đđŽđš đđťđąđđđđżđśđ˛đ đđ˛đđ˛đšđźđ˝đşđ˛đťđ đđ˛đťđđ˛đż (đ đđđ), đŚđśđŽđšđ¸đźđ, and recorded an insightful podcast with Engr. Khurram Shehzad Awan, Project Director TEVTA Sialkot.
During the discussion, he explained how TEVTA is playing a key role in developing skilled manpower for Pakistan’s industry, especially in the metal and surgical instruments sector, one of Sialkot’s most important export industries.
đ§đđŠđ§đ’đ đşđŽđśđť đźđŻđˇđ˛đ°đđśđđ˛ is to provide practical technical training to youth, enabling them to gain industry-relevant skills and build strong professional careers.
To support this mission, TEVTA has established the Institute of Surgical Technology (IST) Sialkot, focused on developing skilled professionals for the surgical instruments industry.

Engr. Khurram Shehzad Awan highlighted that the biggest challenge currently faced by the industry is the shortage of hands-on skilled workers, especially in fields like forging, polishing, and manual production processes.
He encouraged youth to learn technical skills, utilize these facilities, and explore opportunities in the surgical and metal industries, enabling them to compete in global markets.
